@nosat@furgar@Iamthebammbamm@mrman He completely ignored inertia and that objects acted upon by other forces lose energy. This writes off too many basic things you could demonstrate in a classroom to students.
@nosat@furgar@Iamthebammbamm@mrman Inertia, gravity, observing constellations, using HAM Radio, flight paths and shipping paths both all support that we live on and have adapted to living of a spherical object. All you have said in this thread is that all of our point are garbage.
@nosat@furgar@Iamthebammbamm@mrman So all of or travelling about the Earth by boat and plane every single day means nothing? Real life examples cannot be used as proofs for anything?
@nosat@furgar@Iamthebammbamm@mrman No you cannot just redraw a map to be anything, its anchored in its real world usage and people successfully traveling by it. We can verify those distances and plan fuel usage by them.
@nosat@furgar@Iamthebammbamm@mrman So far in this discussion, everything I have raised has been stories I have been told and its all false, yet you give no examples of how these real world examples otherwise work. You gotta back up your claims.
@nosat@furgar@Iamthebammbamm@mrman Again you just write off others points and shove your own. Its pointless talking about it but I find you annoying. How the fuck are real life paths and the mileage spent traveling not relevant to the shape of the environment we are traversing? Signals are bouncing off the upper atmosphere regularly and we know pointing certain directions connects you to certain places, all that line up with a large spherical atmosphere, these same connections can't be lined up with a flat earth dome model.
@Iamthebammbamm@nosat@furgar@mrman Its all still referenced off the same Earth we all live on and travel each and everyday. Its all still anchored to our current real world :p
@Iamthebammbamm@nosat@furgar@mrman Bouyance ain't gonna explain traveling from places that are on the edges of a flat plane happening faster than traveling from places nearer to its center.
@Humpleupagus Maybe I'd find a different cliff but now way touching a troon like that isn't leaving you with a horrific disease that'd be worth trying to live with, those things are regularly riddled with all kinds of horrible shit.
