To copy and paste a post I made about this months ago:
I actually don't think this is true. First of all, anime doesn't have a uniform art style. Just look at the big three shonen, they all have very different styles. There are of course broad trends that are identifiable "anime". And most anime and manga doesn't bother not trying to be generic.
Generally the styles that come out of these trends I believe to be min-maxed for expressiveness, with cuteness (or "moe") as a common secondary objective. Eyes are the most emotive thing about humans, so those are massive; noses hardly emote at all, so they hardly exist. Mouths are the next most expressive thing, but people don't look at them as much, and in stead of drawing a neutral mouth, a simple line or nothing at all will do. Mouths can be non existent or massive depending on the expression and the level of detail at the time. Having large heads and eyes helps cuteness, as it makes the characters look more like infants. Cats share many of these features, but I think it's coincidence rather than causal.
Now as a consequence of these things characters can very easily look samey, especially if the artist fails to give them unique eye shapes. The nose does so much of the shape of a persons face is defined by the nose. A way to get around this is with clothes and hairstyles. I think the reason out-there hair styles and colors are so common in anime is because it's one of the easiest ways to make a character stand out. It's done to make up for a weakness in the art style.
Again these are all gross generalizations, but I belie that the best way to understand the "anime art style" is through the lens of expressiveness above all else.

Looks like it truly is a mutt's world.

It's insane to me that despite Kyle getting declared innocent, this guy never had to face trial. In any sort of just society getting acquitted of attempted murder via self-defense would automatically be grounds for arresting your attacker on the same charge.

Autists are one of the most susceptible demographics to trannydom. It's far to late for that. In general the state of autism based organizations and cultures is unrecoverable. It may as well be a moot diagnosis at this point for all the good it does people. It's hilariously over broad and all the racecourses meant to help autists tell them that there's nothing wrong with them and they in fact need to be proud of their autism. There's no saving the autism industrial complex.

The point about teachers not gaining the respect of boys is very important. I remember the only teacher I ever considered 'good' at his job was also the only one who had a degree in what he was teaching (a masters in astronomy). He would be able to answere basically any question we could come up with on the spot, and would regularly point out exciting space things happening. For example there was a probe that did a close flyby of pluto (the fist ever) while we were there and he excitedly showed everyone the pictures in class. That also happens to be the only class I ever studied for.

It might be the smell they like if that's true. Or just having an arm around her head.

People need some grit in their lives. It's a physiological thing. If someone is working sustenance farming than chances are they'll find their food much more *satisfying*, regardless of how bland it may be. There are also levels of luxury, it's not all or nothing.

That's a perfect example. The mouse and rat colonies had all their material needs cared for, but still died off. The situation they were in was so natural they weren't able to be mice. Humanity is in such a state right now that young persons aren't able to be human. 9-5's aren't human. School isn't human. Media isn't human. All these things are terribly unnatural and yet they're all most persons under 60 have ever known.

I literally can't imagine a white guy doing this because a musician was black.

>For a long time trump’s had his floating butterfly hand thing, but that’s not cool.
I actually don't think it was bad at all. Sure he was made fun of for it, but his political brand was largely based around entertainment. He would give all his opponents cooky nicknames, go on twitter and say something silly (in every sense of the word), and then his base would make pepe versions of every decent picture of him. His weird hand thing worked specifically because it was idiosyncratic, same with his comb-over and orange face. They all added to the idea that this strange old man was taking on the establishment with bland insults and a half baked sense of humor. The whole Trump phenomenon was w e i r d and that played greatly to his benefit. He was like the charming old grandpa who thought he "got it" with his grandkids even though he had no idea what was cool; but would also jump at the chance to take them fishing or show them how to fix their car or talk them up in front of their crush or whatever they actually needed at the moment. That but with the working white man in middle America was what Trump sold his base. He was never eloquent of cool, and trying to be wouldn't help him at all.

Man that picture's rad. I wish I still had the capacity to think Trump is cool or good.

Those are one of the few playground equipment that got better as I got too old for them. Being way too heavy for the spring and being able to make it hit the ground with a slight lean is way more fun than struggling to get any movement at all as a kid.

This is what I mean when I say I feel like I'm the only one who likes the show. Despite it's supposed popularity I can't talk about it with anybody. I'm like a reverse hipster, jumping on something super popular because I actually like it unlike the people who have been "fans" of it for years.
-
@IsraelDelendaEst @WashedOutGundamPilot @jetzkrieg
Cause he's a fucking child and being in the robot sucks.

@Paultron @IsraelDelendaEst @WashedOutGundamPilot @jetzkrieg
I'm probably gonna have to re-watch the show now that I've done so much thinking about it.
-
@Paultron @IsraelDelendaEst @WashedOutGundamPilot @jetzkrieg
I don't even understand why it became a meme. I really like the character stuff, it feels like to only story to take children being put into those kinds of situations seriously and examine what it would do to their psyche. Not to mention all the esoteric bullshit which I just eat up.
-
@IsraelDelendaEst @Paultron @WashedOutGundamPilot @jetzkrieg
I've watched it twice already. I fell in love with it after my first watch.
