   Someone sent me one of these tweets, and this is the newest dating article fodder.
   
   Without even touching it, I know it's probably gonna take the usual pseudo "conservative" (i.e. democrat 2005) take on the issue:
   
   - Women can't find a good husband they feel is worthy of them
   - Boys aren't even trying to become that husband
   - Gosh dammit why aren't the boys even trying to become a high-flying husband?
   - Stupid idiot boys ignore everything your moms/teachers/therapists(forced)/professors/managers/HRladies/bosses and exes/crushes/prospects say and just man up!!!!!
   
   They'll admit some tiny, insignificant part of the blame for women like
   - Sure, girls make up 70+% of college students, and most high-paying office work actively disenfranchises all non-woman, non-brownoid applicants
   - BUT no matter what there's still a tiny chance they'll hire a white man, so you should be giving it 150% of your effort for years on end hoping to snag that 5% chance of winning the job lottery that's given so freely to your competitors!!!

     A lot of this shit is just guys taking the things retarded women say at face value, when they should just laugh at them.

     *Women are not like you. They do not think like you. They do not use language as you do. They have no interest in permanence, or using words to convey an idea. Understand that NOW because it saves a lot of headaches.

     These girls are just jabbering, jockeying, and lying in the hopes of getting the right deal, of dissuading gross, fat, poor suitors, and being happy. They’re dumb, so they aren’t very good at it, but when you wise up you look past what they’re saying to what they’re meaning.

     Guys need to realize that as low as you get in the stack, you still sit comfortably ahead of 40 to 60% of the “men” around you. Go to a college and look at the guys there, go to work and look at the office. As long as you aren’t obese, can crack a good joke, and make people enjoy being around you then you’re sitting way, WAY prettier than you realize.

     The risk isn’t the reason I quit cold approaches (except at work, where it’s usually the jealous hags overhearing you that report it, though I’ve never had issues doing so), it’s the fact they’re low-yield. You can say the payout isn’t worth it for the work required, that still holds true for us. But guys like to focus way too much on the risk of dating, and….eh. I’ve had exes try to pull that before, as long as you’re able to talk frankly and charm your way out of things you’re good.

     So, SO much of this is solved with “be likable”. Seriously demolishes these obstacles like you wouldn’t believe. Guys somehow can make each other laugh online, but IRL? Suddenly it’s an impossible request

     I understand your theory, I’m saying that the article which articulates the problem doesn’t even bother trying a rebuttal.

     But this fear didn’t come from the article, it came from observing the last decade. Hot guys and chads got the #MeToo treatment too, this isn’t a brown problem.

     And the article is actually touching on the broader “risk”, spending a lot of money for nothing. The porn-sick guys basically say their OnlyFans, AI, and other whorish substitutes remove the risk of spending hundreds of dollars and getting a narcissistic flake who can’t even be a caring, non-sexual companion. That’s also not a brownoid problem, that’s universal to the modern dating pool. You don’t fix that buy boosting your self-confidence or being charming.

     she feels like she's struck gold, and comes to with the idea of building a dating site that is geared for our guys (not in those words)
     
     I have a lot of misgivings about something like this, but am wondering if it could be done right. it just seems like any dating site is going to be naturally void of the things that make a strong relationship/marriage, but is it just a longer fishing line in a huge sea of fish?

     I doubt it’s significantly easier to date if you are making 6+ figs and are 6 ft tall. Sure you might have a confidence boost and can afford nicer dates more frequently, but women are fucking awful in 2023.      Every time people talk dating sites, the only thing that gives me an inkling of hope would be to basically make it an arranged marriage finder (in marketing, at least, that’s your hook)

     Have the parents make the profile, make it so people can’t just advertise themselves on there. Maybe even have a hybrid option where you can swipe on your own, but you can opt to gatekeep superlikes or whatever behind a parental check (or any suitable older person looking out for you).

     One huge thing I think could come out of web 3.0 is decentralised dating.      Overall sleep quality counts, too. I think it needs real deep sleep, and school schedules rarely allow for the kind we need. Unless you were going to sleep at 2100 every night, you probably ended up under the target of 9 to 10 hrs for a teen

     and i think thats why it worked well in this instance. It was a smaller, well established fb group that i think does a good job at gatekeeping and is able to spot bad actors easily

     I thought through this a while back and it would be too big of an opsec risk. You certainly could make it invitation only, but in the process that makes the pool too small to be useful. I DO think it makes sense to have it be a thing on existing sites because you can already have an idea of who the person is and have some type of site group culture to use as a filter, if that makes sense.

     A lot plays into it, like what kind of home, how smart the kids are, if they are smart enough to self-teach, what the community is, how useful the other parents are, whether they’re close or trustworthy…. “homeschooling” is like saying “get a job” as a solution. Just as many poor ones as there are good ones.

     my idea of homeschooling is specifically not just your kids being at your house all day just htem and us being taught out of books, because i witnessed a homeschooling program my best friend went through and it had a lot of going out to things with other homeschooling parents and their kids, in the forms of sports teams and other stuff. all this being said, i ain't gonna lie GED isn't even hard, and homeschooling culminates in that essentially

     You’re either working with women, have spent time in athletics growing up, or you’re in your late 30’s and beyond, if I had to guess.

     A lot of these kids are just stuck. Partly their fault, partly society’s, partly the parents. It would seem natural to meet people, but a whole lot of kids literally can’t meet anyone in their daily life. Even colleges are quiet now. I worked next to a pretty popular party school for a bit, and going around it became apparent they were just like my campus: Kids live at home, commute to class, and leave the second it’s through. You’ve got a 1.6 minute window to talk to that girl because she’s speedwalking back to her car to go watch netflix back home.

     Nobody wants to leave their house. Exposure to new people is insanely low today.
