@DEERBLOOD @DemonSixOne @Terry @WashedOutGundamPilot the 'Tribe & Train' thing that active clubs push is great, totally agree. once you start building a tribe where you live, then you can start connecting with other tribes and building cooperation. you have your core of go-getters doing the physical training and activism stuff, but then you also have your outer rings of older guys with money and various connections that may not be able to do the high energy stuff, but they bring other things to the table. once you get enough guys, chances are somebody knows the local sheriff or police chief, somebody knows a car mechanic, somebody knows a contractor, somebody knows a computer wiz, and so on.

He has the nerve to cry and bitch about how awful it is, like dude...you are entirely responsible for this, you don't get to complain about it.

@Hoss I went to an engineering school, I don't remember the actual engineering departments being super nerdy, that was mostly in the computer science stuff or mathematics.

The fourth element is more difficult to define and may not be necessary for everyone."

I've spent basically my whole life in small rural towns or in the woods, I hate cities. I think these goals, being biological in nature, are most fulfilling when they are something that changes the physical world around you. Building something, growing something, hunting something, etc. These sorts of goals are very limited in an urban environment. They're even limited in suburban and even some rural environments due to the nature of our society (zoning laws, permitting, expense or unavailability of needed materials). So in the absence of these, we set goals of different sorts that don't give the same essential fulfilment in our souls.
