i assumed for years that everyone was simply putting up with psychopaths for the clout. existing in their sphere for a bit to boost your profile is the fastest way to growth, after all. it makes total sense to engage with them superficially to boost your numbers and your thus income. as long as you keep the right distance and know better than to trust them there's almost no risk. you can use them safely
but this assumption seems to be a wrong one. i made the same mistake i always make, the same fuckup i've made over and over again my entire life, where i assume i'm average at stuff and most people are as good at stuff as me. no, it turns out most people AREN'T just putting up with sociopaths for the clout, they just don't recognize sociopaths at all. most people can't. I'M the weird one for being able to pick them out easily. they're not playing dumb about it as part of ruthless calculations, they're actually just dumb.
kind of a weird and pointless revelation to have when my final video is in like 4 days lmao
@Tamamo@ChristiJunior@William_The_Dragonborn@Ene@MoeBritannica@Pikika if they had delivered a solid end product despite that, there's a good chance it would have been forgiven. instead, they hired a retarded sjw community manager who picked fights with the fanbase then delivered a game worse than most 0-budget gamemaker megaman fangames and incomparably worse than any good megaman romhack
speaking of megaman romhacks it's time for me to shill for rockman 4 minus infinity again: it's the best megaman game ever made and the single most technically impressive piece of software ever written for the NES. the game pulls off visual tricks that a ps1 would struggle with on real hardware and makes capcom's best level and boss designers look like a fucking joke
@William_The_Dragonborn@ChristiJunior@Ene@MoeBritannica@Pikika@Tamamo one of hundreds of kickstarter-backed games that tried to make updated versions of old games by the same people that made those old games but sucked instead. same idea as stuff like bloodstained, but bad instead of good.
"original sin" might be one of the most useful pieces of cultural technology ever conceived. sociopaths and narcissists, the two types of people running rampant and ruining everything, are nearly incapable of admitting fault. they cannot acknowledge their own capacity for evil. everything is always someone else's fault. in their heads, they lead sinless, blameless lives
if your culture lives with the idea of original sin, and it's strange and weird to deny your original sin, you can easily detect and weed out sociopaths and narcissists. whether you're calling them heretics for denying original sin or understanding that they're sociopaths doesn't matter. it gives an absolutely trivial way for even the slowest to suss out fundamentally evil people that live camouflaged in the modern world
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" is a verse to ward off sociopaths, like the cross to a vampire
@SNEK@Iffinehttps://e-hentai.org/g/147089/2929e66071/ time to educate yourself on weeb history angeltype got a deal with some plushie company to make touhou dolls in the style of his wildly popular inu-sakuya doujin series
@sickburnbro i'm already seeing a lot of people discuss this sort of stuff publicly and iirc some airline booking sites are now providing the option to specifically avoid boeing planes
when you first start the game and pick a fight with a lamball or a cattiva, all the nearby lamballs or cattivas jump in to help members of their own species. most people would assume at that point that picking a fight with a pal pisses off every pal of that type, but that's not true
every pal has its own pack loyalty system. almost all of the early pals are loyal and support each other, but outside of the starting area that starts to change. if you attack a lifmunk, the rest of the lifmunks will scatter. the lifmunk you attacked won't aggro either, it'll try to escape. if you pick a fight with a dazzi, that dazzi will stand and fight you while all her friends ditch her because it's an entire species of brats
mammorests, being apex herbivores, have negative pack loyalty. they're overwhelmingly solitary and sometimes get into territorial disputes with other mammorests. if you see two mammorests fighting it's usually worth it to hock a ball or two at them when they're at low hp, since they're always around level 30 in the wild that's a ton of free XP if it hits
there's so much effort and detail in this low-budget asset flip nearly-plagiarized game.
