palworld has so many lovely small details in it
when you first start the game and pick a fight with a lamball or a cattiva, all the nearby lamballs or cattivas jump in to help members of their own species. most people would assume at that point that picking a fight with a pal pisses off every pal of that type, but that's not true
every pal has its own pack loyalty system. almost all of the early pals are loyal and support each other, but outside of the starting area that starts to change. if you attack a lifmunk, the rest of the lifmunks will scatter. the lifmunk you attacked won't aggro either, it'll try to escape. if you pick a fight with a dazzi, that dazzi will stand and fight you while all her friends ditch her because it's an entire species of brats
mammorests, being apex herbivores, have negative pack loyalty. they're overwhelmingly solitary and sometimes get into territorial disputes with other mammorests. if you see two mammorests fighting it's usually worth it to hock a ball or two at them when they're at low hp, since they're always around level 30 in the wild that's a ton of free XP if it hits
there's so much effort and detail in this low-budget asset flip nearly-plagiarized game.
