had a really stupid revelation recently about streaming & the entire e-entertainment sphere
i assumed for years that everyone was simply putting up with psychopaths for the clout. existing in their sphere for a bit to boost your profile is the fastest way to growth, after all. it makes total sense to engage with them superficially to boost your numbers and your thus income. as long as you keep the right distance and know better than to trust them there's almost no risk. you can use them safely
but this assumption seems to be a wrong one. i made the same mistake i always make, the same fuckup i've made over and over again my entire life, where i assume i'm average at stuff and most people are as good at stuff as me. no, it turns out most people AREN'T just putting up with sociopaths for the clout, they just don't recognize sociopaths at all. most people can't. I'M the weird one for being able to pick them out easily. they're not playing dumb about it as part of ruthless calculations, they're actually just dumb.
kind of a weird and pointless revelation to have when my final video is in like 4 days lmao
