The problem with bsky is it's basically a containment site without the containment aspect, and those historically fail.
The whole reason sites like gab still get new sign ups is the "hate marketing" (look at this website evil Nazis and transphobes who did cville...er...1/6 use) and the fact you can post content banned on twitter there.
Bsky offers nothing new to the table except "Tesla man bad" and as a result the community consists of furries whining at musk/ai/"techbros" who will preemptively block you because they're mentally the same as the worst of say poast. You have no reason to keep using it unless you're spiritually the same manchild who deleted his YouTube for zippcast back in the day and remade it a month later when zippcast was dead and down.

The only reason more furries aren't on the Fedi is because furries have proven themselves incapable of running a site for furries.

The truth is, trolling and similar stuff won't die when the internet is siloed, and especially when a new generation finds low-budget YouTube documentaries talking about crazy shit from the past, uploads of cky and BumFights tapes, fan uploads of OnA and Howard Stern prank calls and stories, the 420 part Chris Chan video series, Windy City Heat, PrankNet and other "extreme" prank calls, and thinks "wow I should top this with some random retard online". So some pretend WWE writer goes and does something fucking retarded while trying to "ironically" talk about his fetish or something thinking it'll save him from the critique he blasts on others.
If KF focused on bullying retards online to extremes even greater than the image of it in the eyes of Elliot, it'd be easier to host than if it ends up mocking a ex-Google rapist. That's not a joke. Doxbin is still online and nobody is saying shit about it, and the same goes with CSAM and other stuff buried on big tech owned sites. If KF goes down for a month, well, they all flowed onto the fedi and that was a total mess.
If it wasn't Josh, it'd be someone else. Joshes only "crime" in this case is refusing to cave to internet pitbulls who will stop at literally nothing. If he said the magic pronouns, he'd probably be having far fewer issues hosting his site.
Or to quote what a friend told me about the TF2 botters, "isn't it ironic how a group that is dedicated to destroying an online video game for everyone throws a fit over transphobia?"
