     @e @jeff keep in mind you're not going to get away from EVERY off the cuff political statement but you can absolutely filter the obsessive blackpillers. They are mostly insular anyway. Often times I will find a thread where everyone in that thread is muted already and thats because they're all podcast race blackpillers that I had encountered previously

     @jeff fedi is good for interacting quickly but information is quick to erode here. also im tired of seeing vim vs emacs (or whatever other competing softwares) debates popping up in my home timeline, might as well be on hackernews for that, i sometimes have genuinely useful conversations but they're rare (they're the things that keep me here though), most are just meaningless shitflinging and drama that i dont really care about (some are interesting but most are garbage)
     better to just dig my own nuke bunker in nameless networks and pray to god someone will read my effortposts
