I've decided that I will mirror all individual tweets and Gab posts onto fediverse once I manage to get my future fedi instance up. Threads will simply be posted as one post, for the few cases where I wouldn't just post on my website (such as if it were just 3-4 tweets and completely useless to add even as a sector of a status post on my website). I could consider a self-hosted Bluesky as well, but idk. I don't care much for Bluesky at all, whereas I enjoy Plemora, and I don't like the bsky stuff not federating with Plemora or even Mastodon usually, thats really gay they used a different protocol.

@ashiisbest @0 @maija @prettygood unfortunately so, I've noticed that most IRC chats these days are actually pretty empty which is unfortunate. I used to use Discord, but I got banned and eventually just quit. Although I've also been forced to hop around between messangers pretty often for a while especially since I'm not like an IRC og or anything like that.

Guilded, Telegram, etc just got annoying or banned me too which makes me want to use IRC even more. Because I do still talk to normies, I need some form of contact with them, so I've decided XMPP is the closest alternative I'd get for now. Which is fine by me since, at least from my experience, it's also decent. And terminal + non-terminal clients are available for both so that's good, although for IRC right now I'm just using HexChat and for XMPP I'm using Gajim, so WeeChat and Profanity I should try to learn soon (even though I suspect they'll both be hell to learn).

But I'll always like IRC at the very least as much as I like XMPP. It's just simple chatting, something that is impressively rare. While most of the servers are dead, the good ones that are still somehow alive are always pretty fun to visit. I mostly use Libera as of now tho
