@foone @whitequark I’ve been payed by a company to reverse engineer their own smart card simulator once, to see how hard it would be to dump the encrypted firmware images they gave their customers with the simulator. It was regular DES. In 2015. Their legal dept. asked why that’s a problem, because customers have to sign NDAs anyway.
