Update: Been ill. Not dying, but it's not awesome; tried to ignore it but I have an autoimmune condition and some combination of stress, overworking myself, and that bout with Covid last month triggered it.

Please don't worry about me; but I can't say when I'll be fine again - sometimes I can just power through it and my immune system corrects itself. Sometimes, like this time, it just gets worse until I feel like my insides are made of acid and it hurts enough that I can't concentrate. Sorry.

Last RT - not only do I endorse @gwynnion 's message, but I also would encourage you folks to stop dismissing fascist ideology and policy positions as "merely a culture war" and calling for an end to said war.

You're damn right it's a culture war; it's a war between a culture of humanity, inclusion, and the idea that everyone and their rights matter, and a culture that believes in the permanent enshrinement of patriarchal, white supremacist, anti-humanist principles enforced by violence.

To minimize that reality is to surrender our own humanity, and to fail to stand up for the founding principles any just, humane, and accepetable society should stand for. Furthermore you don't get to decide when the bad guys declare war on you and everything you believe in, and trust me, that's exactly what the fascists have done.

To dismiss this existential battle that literally means life and death for so many people in our society who did nothing more than "exist" is to surrender to fascism.

Inside of two weeks, SCOTUS has given itself authority to:

- cancel legislation it doesn't like
- overrule regulatory bodies it doesn't agree with
- and after the fact legalize actions taken by a President.

Given that it's already got final say on the actions of the rest of the judiciary, that now consolidates the power of all three branches of American government under the authority of the Supreme Court.

In other words? It's a judicial coup.

Revolutions have been fought over less.

It is not an accident, that the most successful capitalists on earth, are all paying to promote and install fascists to positions of power. They know everything I just told you; they understand better than most that it's either capitalism or a planet that can support 8B+ humans - they've made their choice; to keep capitalism. And they know you aren't going to vote for it or go quietly, so they're removing YOUR choice from the equation via fascism.

There is no middle ground here.

This isn't even about ideology; it's about limitations being exceeded on a global scale. That having been said, the ideology of market fundamentalism, and the ideology of fascism do have an alarming number of similarities. Both believe some should live, some should die; some should rule in opulence, some should toil in misery to support that opulent rule. They have different ways of deciding who is who, but in the final calculations it's usually the EXACT same people getting fucked.

The plain truth is that capitalism is killing us and we are out of planet. The only way to keep doing capitalism is going to be turning vast swathes of the planet into sacrifice zones and looting folks who can't protect themselves for their resources. If you're a capitalist, and you intend to keep doing capitalism, you're ultimately for genocide because there is no other way to accomplish that. And folks won't politely agree to die for your bottom line, so that means fascism. Balls and strikes.

You don't like hearing that, I understand, but dawg my model certainly does explain why two election cycles of picking neoliberals to stop nazis A) hasn't worked to stop the nazis, B) has still lead to the rise of fascist police states, C) hasn't made a single fucking dent in our rocket ride towards climate catastrophe, D) has seen a continued increase in the power of capital, and E) has seen a continued increase in militarization and genocide.

My model works to explain it; yours doesn't.

Heyo, don't get it twisted - they're still *all* trying to kill you and you can't be a "capitalist" on a boiling planet where continuing to do capitalism will require the slaughter of billions, without being at least some kinda fascist. The distinction is "nazis" and "fascists" not "fascists" and "not fascists" - sorry; I just call balls and strikes.

There is no reasonable argument that my positions are confusing. I'm an anti-capitalist on a boiling planet facing down a murder of genocides. My enemies are capitalists who mean to kill billions of folks like me around the globe to keep extracting wealth and power even if it costs us the species (and countless other species/a habitable world.) Your confusion stems from the fact that you define politics along a "liberal versus conservative" axis and haven't considered they *all* mean to kill you

Literally everything they're telling you about the Palestinian liberation movement today, they said about the Civil Rights Movement, Malcolm X, and the Black Panthers back in the day. They don't give a fuck about violence, except the violence that may result from overthrowing colonial enslavement and brutalization; they're more than happy to do nothing about a genocide - they spring into action to decry violence only when it may affect the oppressors and their goons.

What are you hoping to accomplish by debating or engaging with someone whose motivations and enthusiasms are so crassly cynical and invariably aligned with the slavers, the brutalizers, the oppressors, the extractors, the boots on the necks of the marginalized, oppressed and dispossessed? These folks aren't making mistakes, it's not a lack of knowledge; they are cynically appropriating your concerns to defend fascism, extraction and mass murder. There's no common ground to be found there.
