     @nixCraft I WANT IT to be the year of the Linux desktop, but I'm also a realist. If Microsoft were to push Win 12 as a real POS or a subscription model we have a better chance.

     For the average computer user there is too much fragmentation in our ecosystem. We Linux users understand the fragmentation and have made choices and designed workflows around it, if the average user can't just double click a .rpm and install it like they were to an .exe or .MSI adoptions are gonna be slow. Wayland.....

     @nixCraft I prefer and use Linux on my machines and voted "no". I am unaware of anything pending in the next year making such a huge difference in adoption rates, so even if I like Linux, why would anyone expect it to somehow take over the desktop market in one year's time?
