@hyolo Yes, it works with Husky. It had a problem with Tusky but it probably was fixed in the latest release.

@hyolo Let me know if you want to try Mitra
@juanro49 Yes!
@helge your comment didn't appear on @mikedev 's site, I suspect a federation problem
(it will probably appear once I publish this)
@mikedev proposed the new collectionOf property in his recent post:

@julian @rimu @AaronNGray @aaronngray I think for technical discussions you can use ActivityPub terms:
- Group (= category or community)
- Note (= post)
- Reply (= object with inReplyTo property)
- Context (= conversation)
@julian @rimu @AaronNGray @aaronngray
> so why aren't we having meta-discussions on the fediverse?
Yes, why? The thought of continuing conversation in some obscure github repos seems rather strange to me.
We already have all necessary tools, right here.
@pfefferle @tallship @darnell @mattwiebe @tallship @darnelltv Confirmed. Thanks!
>I really wish there was something more akin to DID support in the ActivityPub protocol.
There is. I mean, the ActivityPub spec doesn't say anything about it, but it also does not explicitly forbid non-HTTPS identifiers. DIDs alone are probably not enough, because not all of them can carry additional information (e.g. did:key can't)
You can read about the current research in this document:
https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fep/src/branch/main/fep/ef61/fep-ef61.md
Some Fediverse projects are already experimenting with these ideas: https://wedistribute.org/2024/03/activitypub-nomadic-identity/

@deadsuperhero I think there is an easier way. Implementations can generate fallback representations from the standard content property and ignore the object type. I.e. we treat content property as a lowest common denominator.
Optionally, use name or summary if content is absent. This is what I'm currently doing and it works reasonably well.

@kowalabearhugs Nice. Web client doesn't work (says "Anonymous TOR usage is unavailable"), but still.
Are you involved in MoneroKon organization?

This is the HTML page that is returned in response to Follow activity:
<div class="error-msg"> <h1>406 Not Acceptable</h1> <p>Not Acceptable. Our sentries tell us that you should not be doing this.</p> </div> <div class="support-msg"> <p>Website owner? If you think you have reached this message in error, please contact support.</p> </div>@steven Does it actually implement ActivityPub Server to Server protocol, or only Mastodon API?
@darnell @tallship @tallship WordPress account still doesn't accept activities and responds with a HTML page
<div class="error-msg"> <h1>406 Not Acceptable</h1> <p>Not Acceptable. Our sentries tell us that you should not be doing this.</p> </div> <div class="support-msg"> <p>Website owner? If you think you have reached this message in error, please contact support.</p> </div>Doesn't look like it is coming from the plugin.
@agates @brianoflondon I don't know if there is a connection between DIDs and webauthn/passkeys. They are different standards.
In Fediverse we are building a key-based identity system, where identities will be represented as DIDs, including did:key DIDs, but not limited to this particular identifier type.

@pfefferle Hello, have you looked into it? Is there anything I could help with?
@kowalabearhugs I know that. I'm asking specifically about this "hackathon" which is supposedly "dedicated to Security, Privacy, & Decentralization". It is not really difficult to see a contradiction here, isn't it? Even if some participants are okay with that (because they don't understand the meaning of these words), this damages the reputation of the entire project
