What that means is not needing a full Hive account to receive, store and send sats until you want a Hive account (which will cost around $1.50 at the current price).
That's why I'm implementing passkeys: I'll never deal with username passwords.
Did:key is the spec I believe this will use.

But it's pretty good and I'm seeing it on lots more sites so I feel it's heading in the right direction.
For me at this point it's a secondary time saver not primary ID method.
