    So it's becoming apparent that Israel can't push HAMAS back, but that doesn't mean HAMAS is going to win, though I hope they do. But this has a good chance of being a persistent open conflict in Israel. This would mean constant open begging by jews to US politicians. It would also mean that many in the Arab world see how the jews treat Palestinian civilians and start to come together against them.

    That's been my thinking. Once all these old statesman types die off, what's next? Everyone sitting on the bench waiting for their turn to bat is a radical who doesn't understand the purpose of soft power. Even the financial ones are arrogant and in your face.
    I genuinely believe this new generation of politicians will resort to the first a whole lot more and we only have a few years to prepare.

    I could see making it as difficult as possible to make the war as unpopular as possible, but statistically it's been shown that it already was an unpopular war. Maybe if Japan didn't give the US the open excuse and they had to make one we could of seen people burning draft cards during WW2.
