I have never experienced the behavior your describing, neither in big cities, small cities, or the small town I grew up in, but I am very much aware that your media loves to sensationalize race tensions in order to keep you occupied. If you were to agree that there is corruption, and to fight it together, you'd pose a significant threat to the establishment. Divide and conquer works wonders.

@DEERBLOOD@poa.st @Godcast@poa.st Don't get me wrong, I still live in one of the "rich" countries, and inflation is through the roof here too. What we have that helps a lot of people out is social security. If you're out of job, or get somehow incapable of work, you're not out on the street with no food. You get reimbursements for your kids' school tuition. We have good public infrastructure so even people who can't afford a car can have a good means of traveling to their jobs and make something of their lives.

To the average USA citizen I see online, all those things are "communism" and therefore unquestionably evil. The system you guys have was made by people not held accountable for their corruption. If you can get rid of the corruption, you may save your society.

There are people abusing systems here too, that's something you can't ever completely stop. But arguing that you cannot improve everyone's life out of fear of some people abusing this potential, seems very hostile to me.

You may be getting me wrong, it's not that I don't care about money, I just don't consider it some godlike possession that one should strive for at all costs. Even minimum wage already covers the cost for a simple but happy life.
