    Reminds me of that post where someone points out that trans "humor" (i.e, that shit where they slap a bunch of pride flags on everything and say "trans rights!")     There's also much to be said for clout-idolatry and obsessing over who can have the hottest take. It inherently rewards spergery and caustic, asocial behavior and lends itself to cults of personality. In real life you can be just an alright guy with maybe a baseline 50/50 for predictive ability on things and as long as people aren't trusting you to lead everything you can be pretty well liked within a movement
