One of our lambs had to be pulled and I ran inside to grab another light and when I came out my neighbor already did it. I was bummed I missed that learning experience
I just moved the kids aquarium to their room (I wanted kitchen space back) and now the filter is being annoying. Might have to get a new one tomorrow if it doesn't work 😔
Yeah we have a fancy goldfish that is pretty small still that we got from a local fish hobby shop. It's been almost a year with no issues besides a little algae bloom from too much light. Moved it and got some snail friends and it was an easy fix. I had gerbils as a kid and man, that was criminal I didn't take care of them 😭
I wrote in my school journal about how I wanted a dog and on the last day of school brought it home and tried to guilt my parents into getting me a dog. I think I was like 8. Anyways my dad went and got me gerbils instead 😔 I'd traumatize them by using them as dolls in my doll houses. Like making them "walk" and such around.. I did eventually get a Chihuahua though.
I've been learning Russian on and off for years. It's a hard language and I do myself a disservice when I take long breaks. Listening to Russian music helps since I have a decent vocabulary. If you get Duolingo they have the option to study the alphabet and learn each individual letter. I found that more helpful than watching Russian children's shows and nursery rhymes.
Bullies 😂 lol that's cool though, any way of tracking him down? So this new hospital I'm being sent to has a large amount of Russians living there. There are signs in Russian in the lobby and translators. I found some Russian churches nearby too. I thought it was pretty cool to see that instead of everything in Spanish
That is really cool, did they ever share their cultural food with you? I have a pelmeni mold and I bake piroshky occasionally.
I read a book about Russian vampires in middle school. The main character was a half vampire Bodyguard for her bestie, a vampire Russian Princess. I seriously thought it was the coolest thing ever and became obsessed with Russia 😅 I never met a Russian until my early adult years and he was our "crazy Russian friend" since his favorite pastime was buying any and every animal off craigslist for cheap and butchering it to eat. I've had half-hearted attempts over the years but I think Duolingo has improved their Russian language course a lot to the point I can actually retain knowledge and sound things out. Most of my vocabulary has come from music though
I wasn't going to do the jack-o'-lantern on them, but maybe on the gingham side it would be cute. Just adds on another hour or so of a project that's already taken me a week 🤣
And I'll think about it! If my math is right, I'll end up with 12. I only want to keep 6, we will see how much is leftover!
Thank you! Fall is my favorite season in the Pacific Northwest, I love the rain so much! Plus Tyler and I got married in the middle of October so it's an extra special time.
My shoulders hurt from hunching over on the living room floor ironing 😅 all those seams took forever! I still want to press from the topside, I was just too eager and cut one out just to see!
I ended up staying awake from 3-7am because I was nauseous, so after dinner I'm going to pass out. Tomorrow I'll probably finish up a single placemat so I can see what it looks like and get some extra motivation. It's more fun once it comes together!
