@MoeBritannica more and more icons, eating their way further and further to the right. When they reach all the way to the right edge of the screen, you're dead.
@xianc78 I think I would still care, but it is true that FOSS has become very much more important, even critical, due to all the internet-related badness going on these days. FOSS is the only way to at least try to not be owned.
Purism is not a scam, I bought several things from them, things that I use everyday, working fine.
Many people are angry at Purism because Purism promised more than they could deliver. People waited a long time and did not get refund, things like that. But saying Purism is a scam is wrong, it is a real company making real things and importantly making real contributions to free software, which I appreciate a lot.
By the way I am glad to find you here, it has bothered me a lot that Monero folks seem so attached to Twitter (or whatever its name is now). That is a centralized platform and being dependent on that seems to go against everything that Monero is about, I mean censorship resistance and so on. Relying so much on Twitter means being vulnerable to censorship. Same with Github.
Are there others from the Monero crowd here (in the fediverse)?
I have seen similar behavior for self-hosted git servers, in my case the delay turned out to be due to ipv6 being broken on my end, then there was an attempt to use ipv6 first which timed out after a couple of minutes, then there was a fallback to ipv4 which worked. It was my ISP that was at fault for bad ipv6 support, nothing wrong with the git server.
Not saying that is the explanation in your case, but could be worth checking maybe.
@mntmn Hi! Speaking of MNT Reform, I'm still waiting for mine, ordered in October, 2020.
Tried asking crowdsupply a number of times, but they never seem to get around to shipping it. Odd, since it seems everyone else got theirs shipped a long time ago.
It's not supposed to take this long, is it? An MNT Reform ordered in 2020 should have shipped by now?
