It wasn't even that great, gameplay-wise, but the whole atmosphere of it, the novelty, and just so much still stands out in my mind. Especially the cheesy "You are the hero !" screen at the end of a stage. Nothing that comes out today could ever match that feeling.

You might think you have no future, but there are eternal implications for the actions we take, even small ones, and God's true people are *never* without hope and *never* without future--only rough times for a little while.
It will get better, if not in this life, then the next. Persevere.

Then I came back for some reason, maybe I'm just addicted to sadness or want to pretend that I can actually know what's going on in the world.

@PNS I don't hate Jews, I just hate people who push degeneracy on societies, start wars between nations that don't actually have much to do with one another, manipulate currencies to consolidate power, and generally subvert governments. There just happens to be a lot of overlap.
