Is the trend towards authoritarianism in the US significantly slower than in Europe do you think?
It doesn't look like it is. See the RESTRICT Act (US) and the EARN IT (US) Act vs the Online Safety Bill (UK) and ChatControl (EU).
It doesn't look like their Second Amendment is working very well.
