Hello everyone, welcome to WEEK ZERO of the INFINITE JEST FEDIVERSE BOOK CLUB. Once a week on Sunday I'll be making a post under which we'll discuss the parts of the book that we read during the week, and I'll announce what parts of the book we'll read in the coming week. I'll edit this post to link all of the weekly posts as they're made.
Next Sunday we'll be discussing the book up to "AUTUMN - YEAR OF DAIRY PRODUCTS FROM THE AMERICAN HEARTLAND" which should be about 55 pages, depending on your copy. If this is too fast we'll slow down, and if it's too slow then we'll speed up, but I believe it's best to start with a modest pace for a book this huge.
Have fun reading, if you want me to CC you in the future Infinite Jest weekly book club posts, just let me know. :)
@arcana That is practically speaking probably the answer but I wish there was a way to own all the psychedelics car salesmen with facts and logic instead of screeching about demons and elves
@Leaflord Yeah I've listened to them a lot. This one is very beautiful though. In some of their videos they make perfect bird songs or animal calls it's wonderful
@PeachySummer Therapy culture and therapy speak =/= therapists. It's like the extrication of ideas from therapy into the public consciousness which results in things like "no contact" and extreme selfishness and transactional views of relationships etc
