Dude, you have entire asian film markets in some of your home countries. That is where it is at. How can you say that you don't appear as much in films? Why must places like the US or the UK cater to Asians when you would be better catered to by watching films or shows from the countries that are already majority Asian? You should be supporting that industry to thrive, not Hollywood.

@sim Also anime, which is of course a local product, has a immense cast of Asian characters
The people not counting it cause "the characters looks white" are getting into big nono argument territory

@coolboymew Exactly. And they were struggling before as artists when Disney came over and could make everything cheaper because they had made their money in the US. Disney caused artists to starve in Japan because the Japanese brought their products instead.
Even if the characters look white, they still behave like characters from a Japanese lens. Because it is made by Japanese people. They also live in Japan, so... Or wherever the animation is from as I think other Asian countries have their own version.
