@givenup@WashedOutGundamPilot@McMongoose Similar situation here, my step-grandfather was pretty much my father-figure growing up and I'll be forever grateful for having him in my life.
@deprecated_ii There were some cool guns that came out of the very late 1990s and early 2000s but the post-modern utilitarian mindset ended up trashing them. The rise of "Tactical" culture in the mid-2010s made things even worse
@WashedOutGundamPilot@Paultron@vriska There's not really much of a difference between the whites who settled here during the westward expansion and the whites who moved here later on in the mid-late 20th century, both are the same types of opportunists from the same areas (various parts of the midwest and the east coast).
@Paultron@vriska Unpopular opinion: The majority of the Western US (execluding the Pacific Northwest and a few other spots) is pretty bleak and depressing, you have go out of your way to see the beautiful parts of it.
If anyone ever insults you for being a LARPer just remember that there were American militia organizations throughout the 19th century that LARPed as famous military units such as the Prussian Hussars, Scottish Highlander regiments, and Napoleon's Imperial Guard because they admired them and thought they looked cool
@WashedOutGundamPilot@Constantine2nd@RadixVerum There's a reason a bunch of Jewish billionaires who were originally against him a few years ago started donating to him out nowhere in the last few months.
@Groomschild@confederatehobo People forget that Jews co-opted a ton of regular European surnames. There's a lot of Jews with the last name Goldsmith but not every Goldsmith is a Jew.
