@nixCraft I used it for a number of years at job[-1], and it was...fine. Clunky in a lot of ways, and too many things are in pre-installed plug-ins that would interact strangely. I think it's also had a bunch of security issues over the years that make people twitchy (I just kept my instance off the internet).

@mntmn Their stuff works, but they are the folks that sent a windows driver update that deliberately bricked adapters with fake FTDI chips on them.
When last I played with such things Silicon Labs had some good chips, but I never tested them to that speed.

@mntmn Because the applications they use are all written for windows. Simple as that.

@foone Does it have any input modules? Or a module rack? The input modules are neat, partly because they (I believe) go way back to HP designs back in the days before HP sold everything interesting off.

@arstechnica And if I'm not mistaken, this correlates with the anonymous explanation of the mess that is the assembly plant. So yea, Boeing is deservedly f--d.

@nixCraft It takes considerable knowledge before one can realize just how little one knows.

@nixCraft I've been VERY happy to have figured out screen many years back. It's been very useful on so many occasions, even with something as simple as not losing my session when the network flakes. Wonderful tools. NOTE: tmux and screen work somewhat differently, and I've never bothered to figure out tmux, because I learned screen first. It may be that it's better in some ways? It's never been better enough for me to bother.

@arstechnica If your pricing model is so complex you have trouble listing your prices, perhaps clean that up, rather than vitch about having to clearly communicate it
