@rimugu I was just driving, at a non-lame speed with no one ahead of me, and some tard swung out in front of with zero space, so I had to slam on the brakes.
That was fine though. But for the next three minutes (till I turned off), he alternated between doing the "nuh-uh-uh-uh" finger wagging and pointing at every speed limit sign. And that's not the first time that sort of thing has happened. The combination of self congratulatory fart sniffing about legalistic things that don't matter, while being passive about everything that does matter, struck me as very Canadian.
@burner@thegreatape Very skilled though, I think she was, at least indirectly, responsible for a third of all posts on fedi. My timeline moves way slower now.
@Leaflord@dcc@HiTwo@dicey I would like to hear more, rural BC could be another option for me, good farmland and low population (currently). Though buying yukon land for when the population does a 10x is probably wise. That or buy a passport for somewhere else, but enclaves within the country seems the way to go.
@Leaflord@dcc@HiTwo@dicey This is basically the setting of Stephenson's "The Diamond Age", international clubs with ethnic based membership. Or Balaji's "The Network State", though that's on a larger, country-like scale and not necessarily ethnic. People sign their property on to a network and get access to everyone else's properties in turn. A decent option if you don't have the funds to fly solo (most people).
