It truly is tragic that I was not isekai'd today... well there's always tomorrow
- cool_boy_mew likes this.
-
@Leaflord he's always out there looking for a victim
-
@dicey @Leaflord Leaflord: the chuddening. He'll have to switch to a 12-yo anime girl pfp and become a tradcath.
-
Maybe switch to poast🤣as backup
-
Also I heard that you are shutting down leafposter soon. What's the timeline on that looking like?
-
WRONG TRUCK WRONG TRUCK
THIS IS JUST REGULAR DEATH AAAAAAA
-
@Leaflord Look out! Here he comes!
-
please
-
@Leaflord It can be arranged.
-
@parker @Leaflord @dicey Canada problems? or do you just not like it?
-
I forgot about his ideals enshrined in the rocks of Canada
-
@dicey @Leaflord Well I probably will make another instance before then anyways, but with rules similar to Cawfee's, i.e., less dumpster fires.
-
@Leaflord @parker @dicey Lol
-
It's called leafposting
-
@dcc @Leaflord @dicey
A few reasons, I'm less interested in "Canada" as a concept now and more interested in other projects. It's a regional instance and most Canadians are tards, which limits users to about 5. Yet it managed to get pretty defederated.
Also the DB has been a mess since forever.
-
@Leaflord @dicey
To be honest, I like the rare moments of sincerity more. You're legitimately interesting even without the persona.
-
Honestly I was doing big thinks about how to retire this persona and send Leaf Lord to the big Tim Hortons in the sky, but leafposter shutting down is the perfect theater for this to play out
-
It is not, but I will spare you the difficulties anyways. Since I am well aware that events tend to warp around me no matter how I act. So I wouldn't want to propel your instance into the top 50 most defederated instances again and ruin the project. Either through my autism, or destiny.
-
@Leaflord @dicey I guess it depends on whether telling people to kill themselves is a hard requirement for you.
-
@Leaflord @dicey
Too based for me. Another janny will have to clean it up.
-
So... I take it I am not invited. Understandable and the right PR move
-
@parker @Leaflord @dicey I see, i hope the next instance goes better.
-
In the defense of my fellow leafs, it was mostly me lmao
-
@Leaflord @parker @dicey Gabe was on there a little bit last time i checked
-
@dicey @Leaflord @parker Leaflord is one of the headlines of leafposters, so it makes sense.
-
You keept the discipline of the instance
-
@parker @Leaflord @dicey Kek, he just likes having his own instance.
-
@dcc @Leaflord @dicey Yeah, till he made his own instance then got involved in another group that (I assume) wouldn't be such a black mark against his productive endeavors.
-
That's... the entire country pretty much.
-
That's one shitty neighbourhood. :blobcatdespacito:
-
No no. I mean in terms of the tards comment
-
@Leaflord @dcc @dicey Ohh, I mean "tards" as in all my neighbours are vaccinated and one has a Ukraine flag on their house, that kind.
-
@parker @HiTwo @Leaflord @dicey The irish....
-
@Leaflord @dcc @HiTwo @dicey
Hence my shift in opinion on Canadian-themed anything. But beyond the black pill lies the green pill.
-
@parker @HiTwo @Leaflord @dicey People need places to flee to? :hehe:
-
@Leaflord @dcc @HiTwo @dicey
Yeah that's my issue, deciding what to do in that regard. Though there's not a ton of places to flee otherwise.
-
It actually makes you really reconsider the viability of raising your children here. You almost have to cult compound it in the Yukon or risk the horror of your bloodline turning into a pissline
-
@HiTwo @dcc @Leaflord @dicey
I've also got some unvaccinated friends around here, younger families, guys with radio equipment covering their back yards. But still the ratio is pretty bad and I can see the neighborhood changing.
-
I'm lucky then. No Ukrainian flags and I know of a few unvaccinated people around where I live.
-
@dcc @Leaflord @dicey Thank you, my interests have broadened a bit since then anyways so I'm sure it'll go well.
-
@Leaflord @dcc @HiTwo @ForbiddenDreamer @dicey I've always wanted to go there, looks surreal.
-
Well technically the whole world's ethnic homeland is Serbia (origin of mankind), but I meant more recently Banks Island
-
@Leaflord @HiTwo @dcc @parker @dicey Serbia?
-
Parker's ethnic homeland
-
@Leaflord @HiTwo @dcc @dicey
There is a third option, courtesy of some internet schizo.
-
>Banks island
Mmhmm
-
@Leaflord @dcc @HiTwo @dicey
This is basically the setting of Stephenson's "The Diamond Age", international clubs with ethnic based membership. Or Balaji's "The Network State", though that's on a larger, country-like scale and not necessarily ethnic. People sign their property on to a network and get access to everyone else's properties in turn. A decent option if you don't have the funds to fly solo (most people).

If you Yukonmode it, you have to stay under the radar because you would be going directly against everything they are trying to do in Canada. Eventually they will come for you and they will have little stopping them because you would be a local. However it is the easier option to set up and ultimately the territories are unwanted and forgotten, you'll see a megapolis in rural Manitoba before you see one up there. It's a gamble, but it can work.
Enclaves in other places give you an air of mystique and outsiders, when played correctly, are allowed way more flexibility than locals. The exoticism you bring tends to open many doors. It's the harder of the two options, but the more adventurous.
Definitely buy extra passports or acquire them in any way possible.
Mobility is key in the age of death.
Which brings us to the next option - being a nomad until things settle and fall into place and you are able to make the right choice on where to bunker down. This obviously comes with its own difficulties and challenges.
Personally I am of the mind to set up safehouses all over the world and see which way the wind blows before fully committing one way or another
-
@Leaflord @dcc @HiTwo @dicey
I would like to hear more, rural BC could be another option for me, good farmland and low population (currently). Though buying yukon land for when the population does a 10x is probably wise. That or buy a passport for somewhere else, but enclaves within the country seems the way to go.
-
I have added a little detour to my master plan to explore this question in more depth.
-
@parker @dcc @HiTwo @Leaflord @ForbiddenDreamer @dicey dang I love voxel graphics
