@nixCraft only in Firefox I've seen that you can undo closing tabs, but you have to keep open Firefox. Once you close it, it is gone forever

@nixCraft idk why so many are saying ffmpeg. I find it very useful, but it is also kind of hard to learn. Once it's understood, it's very useful, especially for video containers

@nixCraft IT was and still is a good game, but I never understood why so many put this only in a pedestal. I started with wolfenstein 3D, and after doom, I continued with quake. Although each one has good points, for me, quake 1 was a big gap between the other two.

I am currently doing quake with doom 1 mod, and it's so much better. Either way, can't wait until dark ages release

@nixCraft I am old enough for being comfortable with old analog watches, but I always slept with naked wrists. Smartwatches, on the other hand, have sleeping monitoring and health as well, but you have to wear it while sleeping.

For senior with health issues, sleeping well without an intrusive device in the wrists, a ring might be a better choice. These smartwatches are gigantic, I wear one of the smallest ones because of that.

@arstechnica, the era started with the internet. If people now see it in AI, it is a different story, but it always has been there

@nixCraft, if it's for a quick for, I use them. if it's more complex, or I will need the variable for later, then another more specific

@nixCraft I started using Linux way before systemd, and today I struggle less with systemd.

For mental sanity, I never fall in the nonsensical "debate" that systemd is supposed to be worse than anything else, when in reality, for me, in any circumstances fail less than everything else.

@arstechnica I mean... I've been doing dual boot since the 90s, and every single time windows has an update, messed with the dual boot and overwrites linux boot sector. I ditched Windows many years ago for forever because of this.
