I still don't understand what problem smart rings solve. Smartwatches have many functions besides telling time and acting as an accessory. I just don't see any benefits to those smart rings.

I like my Oura ring but I need to open the app to sync data, so it’s not as seamless as using an Apple Watch. -

But like a touch screen or rotary nob gear shift. It throws out an insane amount of utility and haptic feedback in favor of being "innovation".

Smartwatches, on the other hand, have sleeping monitoring and health as well, but you have to wear it while sleeping.
For senior with health issues, sleeping well without an intrusive device in the wrists, a ring might be a better choice. These smartwatches are gigantic, I wear one of the smallest ones because of that.
