Would probably have a far easier time using something like Arch Linux as a home lab, though I don't have much in the way of options at the moment. I'm on NixOS, so I may as well figure out how to leverage that to my advantage.
I'unno, could just be that IT was never my calling and the affinity I did has been barely enough to carry me beyond a clueless end user but never to the point where I can learn and absorb the necessary skills to deploy a home lab and made effective use of the resources available.
