    The whole "you can't legislate morality" thing was always the most retarded formulation.

    That's what laws are: legislating morality.

    The intellectually honest argument is to say the loss of human life is a lower priority than permitting women the maximum possible sexual freedom.

    But leave it to Boomers to invent clever sidesteps of the issue to justify letting degeneracy get out of hand.

    Looks like Gab is under a DDOS attack. I can only get to the site in a Tor window, i.e. not with a standard VPN window, and once I get there, nothing loads.

    @p Switched VPNs and it's working now. Reports are other people's VPNs have been blocked as well. Indeed appears to be some sort of Cloudflare issue.

    To be fair to Torba, stuff like a shooter posting his manifesto to Gab right before doing the thing wasn't his fault.

    Lying to his userbase, running bots to make his site seem more active than it is, and deliberately destroying engagement by putting in moderated Groups, that all is his fault.

    If you're asking the question straight up, the posts under the Network Shatter hashtag do a good job of how Torba has made Gab seem fare more viable than it actually is.

    Which would not be that big of a deal, except people invested money based on these numbers.
