@ChristiJunior I find it absolutely hilarious that the post-2016 elite response was to adjust the writing style of every previously respected publication to resemble the ramblings of a teenage tumblr user.

More than that, they've reprogrammed a generation of Journos to react to any attempt to mitigate this with hostility and open defiance. They can't unfuck their propaganda apparatus even after realizing it's now actively counterproductive.

A big chunk of cinema as late as the 00's was right wing, at least to the same degree other cinema was left wing. 300 is a good example. Not saying it was particularly deep, but it had right wing priors to the same extent that, say, Avatar had left wing priors. Lion's share of good sci-fi writers that have held up over time have been some variety of righties, to give a second example.

The gap really appeared around the 10's, as censorship and purges in various industries became so extreme that everything produced was some variety of libtard slop, but as that falls apart, things will naturally return to equilibrium. Bob the HVAC guy from Kentucky's "disdain for art" isn't remotely a factor in any of this, and never was.

@ArdainianRight Looking at the behavior of many J figures, I don't think it's learned. I think there's a sort of instinctive urge to hurt non-Jews, and an instinctive set of responses to any kind of backlash. Very much selectively bred into them by generations of living among outsiders, similar to gypsies and Irish Travelers (though traveler girls are really cute).

@ArdainianRight The upshot is that it's possible one of the better people will talk him out of it, but regardless, the J lobby is done for. If Trump finishes off the government funding for the various arms of the international left, then they're out of the running forever, politically speaking, and the debate is between the old GOP establishment (universally hated) and the rising coalition of young White guys who don't particularly like Israel and have increasingly little reason to compromise, since there's no more common enemy.

Competent, broadly normal people tend to get some degree of influence, and, even if they're generally agreeable and complacent, given their focus on being productive, they're also a natural coalition for things like "don't completely wreck the country".

@ArdainianRight I think the big change between the old and new GOP establishment is sincerity. The CoC knew they were looters, and Lindsay Graham knew that being a Judas goat was something shameful and repulsive. The H1B tech looters sincerely believe that they're genius captains of industry, and the Crenshaws and Kinzingers sincerely believe that their role is a position of prestige. This results in social media freakouts when people show them the level of respect that they deserve.
