    @ninja8tyu As much as I'd hate to say it, characters who serve no purpose to the plot deserve the axe. When it comes to writing I wholeheartedly believe that characters are there to serve a role in the story first and foremost. If they're not doing that there isn't a point to introducing them. That's just me an my utilitarian thoughts on writing though, fluff is fine in small doses.

    @rainignterror1080p @Minty GT is oddly paced and didn't mesh as well with fans of Z due to the series trying to be a mix of Dragonball's whimsical adventure and DBZ's action.
    The dub is even worse as it throws out the musical score and absolutely refuses to let a single moment sit with silence.

    @ninja8tyu I mean, needing a place to sleep and food to eat is more then enough reason for someone to rely on a random smuck, especially if one of the two is supposed to be the blind optimist.

    It generally sounds like you're writing a story where both people are stuggling with something that requires the others help to properly deal with, but that previous traumas leave them both unable to actually help each other until the right level of trust exists.

    @ninja8tyu One suggestion I can offer is to try writing backwards in the planning stage. Start with where you want it to end and use that as a baseline to help establish character beats and moments leading up to it
