Hugo is such a bloated, convoluted mess. It's hard to wrap your head around it. Just use Jekyll if you want a static-site generator.

@tomie A lot of websites have it, but they are often hidden, either intentionally (because they are meant for API usage) or by incompetence (the webmaster doesn't know what it is but the CMS they use supports it). For example, WordPress sites have it by default, even if the RSS feed isn't linked anywhere on the site. It's always located in /feed (e.g. https://activistpost.com/feed). WordPress still powers the vast majority of blog and news sites so this should work in most cases.

Youtube used to have hidden RSS feeds for channels, allowing you to subscribe to channels without an account or increasing the channels subscriber count, but apparently they are gone. You can still follow RSS feeds for Youtube channels via Invidious, however.

Same goes with Twitter. They used to have hidden RSS feeds, but I don't know if they do anymore, especially after Elon fucked up the API. You can still follow Twitter accounts via RSS using any of the nitter proxies.

@cjd They DO know how to stop them. It's going to be with a Digital ID which will be required to even ENTER the store.

It's literally ripped from the front-end of Gab's Mastodon fork, IIRC.

@beardalaxy @PurpCat @j PleromaFE seems more like old school (2006-2009?) Twitter's UI. I think GNU Social was also like that for a while. My main gripe with it is that you need to press a button to refresh the feed and the constant parsing errors (t.map is not a function, JSON.parse error).

@beardalaxy @PurpCat @j You could try SoapBox, if the Pleroma instance you are using supports it, but I don't know if Alex Gleason is going to maintain that anymore.

Migration was very easy and complete, with pull requests migrated without loss. We have yet to see how contributors can resume work on PRs opened pre-migration, but it looks great so far!

@coolboymew At first, I thought this was an unused level that was in the final ROM, but was left undiscovered for over 25 years, but it turns out that this was in the gigaleak, which he didn't mention.

It's only playable now thanks to the decomp.

I've been working on a website for my game studio. The layout was created via ChatGPT (it's really great at generating HTML5 templates without the modern web bloat).

It was hard to write the about page because I didn't want to be unprofessional and bash other studios, but I wanted to make my point across that we will NEVER include any DRM, telemetry, or live service crap in our games.

Here is a brilliant idea: a website with an interactive map that shows businesses that are known to use facial recognition. As a bonus, have another interactive map that shows businesses that have gone cashless.

There are sites like this already, but they only list big-chains. It would be nice to know about small businesses as well.

Employees can anonymously report it. If they see CCTV footage in their store's office and there are white squares over peoples heads, then they can report it anonymously.
