The only people who fear "gymtimidation" are those that should be gatekept from going to the gym in the first place. But considering the low testosterone audience, I suppose this segment will appeal to them.

I think Spike TV has not been around for a while (not that I have cable or satellite to watch it). Just shows that men can never have their own thing for long. @p @judgedread speaking of sex not guaranteeing children, I recall some talk about how lock downs would lead to a baby boom since people "have nothing else to do." Well no surprise, there was no baby boom, since this is not like the 50s where we have more married couples, no birth control, and less electronic entertainment. The people who unironically thought there would be a baby boom were fools.

@p @judgedread in an age with birth control and abortions, simply having sex is not a guarantee to have children. The problem is that less young people have long term relationships and marriages, which are necessary to have children (raised in a proper home and not with a horrible single mother).

Marriage is a bad deal for men these days. The deal needs to be better to solve the problem.

It should also be evident that a college degree is also not a good barometer for intelligence, given the number of people complaining that they should have their student loans forgiven.

@GoodBoyUV @WashedOutGundamPilot It is easy to "go to the gym every day" if all you are doing is the elliptical machines. The perfect "exercise" that feels effortless because it literally is.

And of course nobody cares about how often you claim to do something. It is the results that matter. Same with the "I eat so healthy" people who claim being fat is just genetics. Clearly, the words do not match the results.

@WashedOutGundamPilot @GoodBoyUV I am sorry you subscribed to something as piss poor of an excuse for a gym as Planet Fitness. I find that Anytime Fitness is a far better gym to have a membership for if you are frequent traveler. I have always been able to find squat racks/power cages at every location I have been to for them. I see that as essential as you can do most real exercises with at least that.

And no Planet Fitness, a Smith machine is not a squat rack.

@kaiservenom @Tfmonkey Still can't read that text in the bottom left. Though it is not necessary as it implies a whole lot of mental gymnastics to assume that you can be "libertarian left." Equality (or more accurately the attempt at it) can only come about with overt force from the top. This is why I have more respect for Auth-Lefts that Lib-Lefts, at least they are honest about what they would need to do in order to pursue their goals.

I had a realization when it comes to the whole "trust the experts" meme. There is nothing wrong with experts themselves. Even those who despise the slogan have experts they trust.

The problem is that the "experts" we are told we need to trust are preselected by the government to parrot whatever narrative they want. Other experts who may disagree are never the ones we are given permission to trust.

@sickburnbro I get a strong feeling the military industrial complex got far too complacent with all the years of the US being unchallenged by other countries militarily. The people in the military and the defense contractors must have been thinking that they could just coast on being number 1 and milk the government for more money while not caring about delivering results.

Not anymore. We have challengers now. If they do not fix things quick, then the US will not be a "superpower" anymore.

@sickburnbro But given the current trajectory, I don't expect the military to give up their DEI initiatives or the defense contractors to clean house and get serious. This sort of institutional rot cannot be easily reversed, as the rot has been going on for far too long.

Much of the world will heal, and much of Europe will suffer without having the US to be their military. A whole lot of countries might be able to have authentic elections once more.

@DW2 This reminds me of my hate-listening of an NPR segment I had today with them talking about "recognizing misinformation" and "media literacy." One of the examples was "vaccine misinformation." Of course NPR was 100% pro-mystery-juice and sees anyone questioning these being "safe and effective" as "misinformation."

I am sure that they will not talk about this gem, as it would reveal that their talk about "fighting misinformation" is just bullshit.

Notice how those who claim to champion democracy never are upset about the fact that a few people in robes made a decision that was against what people voted for? Their "love of democracy" is a farce, because they only are happy when the "correct" results occur. Otherwise, "democracy has failed!"
