There was this one japanese ova made as a spinoff to some manga I forget the name of voice acted by some Japanese dudes not even trying to act, but talking casually I'm sure a mumble server would do better than online voice actors
@dcc@Pawlicker god every time I see those biden pics I wanna go to the ice cream place down the street and down some of that (I need ice cream now fuck)
btw follow me at @Pawlicker for more art posting and maybe gamedev posting when I get to that (since I'm going to be dabbling in DOS gamedev if things are looking up).
@xianc78 >On something completely anonymous like an imageboard or textboard, you can make bad posts. People will tell you that you belong on Reddit or you should kill yourself, but you can never build a negative reputation for yourself (unless you use a name or tripcode, or make it obvious that all these posts are coming from you). Posts are judged by the content alone, and not by the user.
Agreed. I think textboards still have a chance (see how fucking huge 5ch.net is still as opposed to 8chan.moe/8kun), the problem with imageboards is the sliding issue everyone keeps bringing up, and the bots spamming CP issue that follows every damn imageboard.
There's also the sharty, but it's essentially like rdrama is in the sense it's a board that got thrown off of 4chan making their own site.
@japananon@mint@pomstan and then there's Ryu Umemoto (RIP) who made some very "outsider" sounding VGM at times. The shop demo song (which is also on FMP Music Disk 5 if you want to hear it on your PC-98/emulator) comes to mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLOqRHi927g
@pomstan@japananon@mint at least if you look up what a lot of 90s era Japanese PC game composers looked like back in the day, they definitely had the "nerd" appearance. I'm sure the same applies with the programmers and graphic artists.
