@Griffith@Hoss@Jonaschuzzlewit@Paultron@SpurgAnon@sjw I'll say this too. If you go to third world countries, you should totally set up a VOIP number, especially if you call the USA a lot and aren't willing to rely solely on internet messengers (be it the normie ones like WhatsApp/TG/FB or the autistic ones like Matrix/XMPP). It costs a bit of money to call up another country even with low VOIP rates. Also carry an unlocked phone, maybe a satphone as long as you're not trying to travel to countries where it's illegal like India.
@Griffith@sjw@Jonaschuzzlewit@Paultron@Hoss@SpurgAnon I'm going to quote some third worlders I met online, especially a Mexican who was moving between the USA and Mexico: you can "live like a king" on the same amount of money there. For context this was the early 2010s when you could even make beer money being a no name "network partner" on YouTube, and that beer money was worth a lot more in 🇲🇽.
That's why you were hearing on the news about white people doing remote work moving to Mexico City, the "digital nomad" craze, among other things. As long as you're not fucktarded like Ethan Ralph and forgetting to pay the bills thinking it's like the USA where they take forever to shut them off, know how the visas work, etc. you should be better off than he was.
@mint boomers bought it and mailed it to someone in another state. The problem is it's for health features because old people and your only real alternative is the pixel band (not sold in many stores compared to crapple).
Turns out my cousin can't use a computer and so he thought any smartphone is an iPhone and whoops he needs an iPhone now to use his Apple watch because smartwatch companies are very Talmudic and expect you to have this OS to use this watch.
