Chernobyl stopped the active fusion pretty quickly after it started but it's forty years out and there's still enough decaying radioactive matter to make the place unlivable.
So the rate of increase is down 21%. The population of Canada as of the 2021 census was 37m, and the population as of now is estimated at 41.3m and that's a 10% increase. Per https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/fertility-rate-canada-why-1.7338668 , the fertility rate is 1.26, well below the replacement rate of 2.1. ("Canada recorded its lowest-ever fertility rate for the second year in a row in 2023, according to Statistics Canada, at 1.26 children born per woman. It now joins the ranks of "lowest-low" fertility countries, including South Korea, Spain, Italy and Japan.") But the population increased by 10.4% in three years. How do you figure that happened?

Last election in LA, we had two really terrible choices for mayor, and I didn't know who I was going to pick: they were both as corrupt as hell, they were both in bed with the real estate developers that have been gutting this city for years. You know, someone tells you that on a certain day in two weeks, you're going to have to pick one of two plagues to die of, you might have a difficult time.
Then tack on that you have personal relationships that will end if you pick "wrong", plus you go onto a website where you think you can make some jokes with your friends and all you see is shouting about politics and people that are angry, plus a bunch of Europeans that resent American intervention in their politics but that spend more time telling Americans how to vote than they spend keeping up with their own news and everyone is so goddamn angry about politics. People that like ad blockers get angry when you tell them you wish you could ignore politics. So you figure maybe you ignore the browser a little while, you pull up a PDF you've been meaning to read and then your phone buzzes and it's SMS campaign spam. Take a walk, yard signs; take a drive, billboards, protests, some kids are hanging a sign from the overpass on the freeway, "HONK IF YOU LOVE WW3".
So then you get sick of it: you get a phone call about a poll, they want to know how you are voting. Lie to the person taking the poll, because fuck everyone that can't chill on the politics. It's going to be a shitshow anyway: we're gonna get recounts and contested results and riots and lawsuits.
I'm voting, sure, but if someone calls me and is taking a poll, I'm lying. I'm completely done amusing the people that can't sit still until they know how everyone thinks they're going to vote. Fuck anyone with the gall to be pissed off about that. -

Hitbox doesn't matter: in every level where you play them, if you get noticed, you're dead. You can just hold down the fire button because they automatically pick up guns when out of ammo, and if you run out of ammo and there are no guns nearby, there's a chainsaw, so I just pay attention to the chainsaw and run. The stupid zebra bugs me, though, because the roll-dodge is finicky; a lot of deaths because I rolled through a door instead of doing an execution.
