What bothers me is that these podcasters don’t understand the optimal proximity for which this mic is designed. It’s designed for you to be right up on the mic, and many of them are a foot away or more. That’s a lot of times why it sounds bad or that you can hear every bonk and thump. Not only does it require a lot of preamp gain to drive it normally, they are gaining it up in post as well because the audio source is too far away! -
