   Marriage is a spiritual work of the Lord affirmed by covenant. You do not have to be Christian to realize or take part in the nature of this truth. When one divorces a spouse, you are besmirching a holy work of the Lord, committing violence against your children (His creation whom He has entrusted you to steward), and corrupting His created natural order. You are biting your thumb at the Giver of all good things. God hates this and will recompense the violence done against His little ones. Do not take lightly the responsibility of stewarding the souls which the Lord has graciously given you to care. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
   
   Malachi 2:14-16 (KJV) 14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet [is] she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. 15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. 16 For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for [one] covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

     @NoDoxGregBrady @Punished_Potatus Divorce is so traumatic to children that even a leftist supporter of divorce like Spielberg, whose parents divorce still haunts him today, kept coming back to it as a life ruining horror for kids, as seen in Close Encounters, E.T. and The Fabelmans, the first and last written by Spielberg himself. I have never seen a divorce that didn't shatter the kids.
     
     Divorce is a great evil.
