so it is the primary embodiment of it. so it should damned well implement it properly.

that was obvious to me though, so i didn't state it explicitly.

what social media is teaching me:

when i post something i don't really want any validation for, such as a joke, it's popular.

when i post something where i really wish people would reassure me it's fine, there is silence.

so, as far as things i deeply care about - things that get close to the core - there is little support and encouragement to find there.

whereas if it's superficial - an easy laugh - there's plenty of encouragement to find there.

i don't like it.

Threads is basically irrelevant right now if you live in Europe. they're not launching it there right now, with the exception of the U.K. the reason appears to be EU privacy laws. the app collects a lot of data.

@coin never got much joy out if Twitter, and i spend most of my social media time on here. i'm not really invested in Twitter. the format came from there but i don't have feelings for it.

i feel this place needs more creatives to really have the spirit, but i otherwise agree.

now, this is another idea that might be even better than a bunk bed.

apparently there are many varieties of these. they seem like a really good use of space. all that empty air above a bed feels like a waste in a small room.

@amiserabilist i mean, if that's how you go to bed, fine, keep your air!

replacing my current bed with a bunk bed is a fun idea. not because it's likely that two people will ever sleep in this apartment, but because i live in a studio and there's about 6 m³ of air above my bed that isn't being used for anything. i could put a sheet of plywood up there and use it as a little attic for storage.

@coin beauty is one part but another is simply charisma. some people aren't that sexy but their charisma carries them. but they can still be bad people. not necessarily villains but you couldn't trust them as friends if you were in trouble.

one of the more confusing things about the world is that bad people often have friendly faces and vice versa

kind of funny how we have something called non-food grade plastic that is absolutely allowed in things that touch your skin. which touches food.
