@coolboymew well, i can turn off notifications for Mastodon and that would solve the problem i suppose. sort of. yes and no. i mean, there's obviously a bug since they don't go away. or maybe RAM bit rot.

@coolboymew i almost never check things, such as my calendar, my inbox, etc. i rely 99.9% on notifications for things.

not only do i have to close out every KDE notification manually because they never disappear. i have to do so twice.

let me guess. it's time to reboot the computer again, because bit rot is setting in.

most of the "public enemies" throughout history have been people that the upper classes disliked and complained to the elite about. what the lower classes thought is largely lost to history because they didn't publish anything. you usually only get to hear what they think when there's a riot.

personally i found it hard to meet people on there. it seemed to be for people who already had a network.

Mastodon is the only social medium i've ever used where i encounter new people all the time. to me, that was always what i hoped social media would do for me.

in reality, most of them are just places where popular people can send updates to their friends and fans. seeing as i don't care what popular people think and i'm not popular myself, they're completely pointless to me.
