not only do i have to close out every KDE notification manually because they never disappear. i have to do so twice.
let me guess. it's time to reboot the computer again, because bit rot is setting in.

@coolboymew i suppose i could disable them, but they really help when i get email
@coolboymew i almost never check things, such as my calendar, my inbox, etc. i rely 99.9% on notifications for things.
@coolboymew well, i can turn off notifications for Mastodon and that would solve the problem i suppose. sort of. yes and no. i mean, there's obviously a bug since they don't go away. or maybe RAM bit rot.
@coolboymew "i don't have to unplug and replug my toaster to make it work properly. why should i have to do that with my computer? just work, god damned it."
@coolboymew i'm a bit demanding because i'll be like "what do you mean it's not working flawlessly after not being rebooted for 3 months?"
@coolboymew i'm leaning toward a reboot here. i rarely reboot, but it seems that the more advanced the computers get, the less reliable they are
@coolboymew i think i have killed the shell before but i no longer remember if the apps will stay open
@coolboymew kstart plasmashell or sudo kstart plasmashell?
@coolboymew vague memory of killing the shell with unexpected results
