I ran GrapheneOS on an older model and it worked fine.
The problem was that I bought a nearly extinct model for very, very cheap for testing.

True.
So the best revenge is using Google hardware and ditching their spyware OS.
I'm installing waydroid now and I'll give it a try.
I had anbox installed but it crashes a lot.
I'm currently on an Android with Verizon, but I'm about to make a move off of it.
Some time back I bought a Pixel 3aXL to test GrapheneOS and it worked okay but life got busy. And then it went end-of-life.
So, now in the market again and looking at my options. I'm leaning toward a newer Google Phone, a Pixel 7 or 8 and Graphene since it seems like the option with fewer question marks about compatibility with the set of apps that I use.
But I really want a Linux phone to be a thing that works well. So far, I'm not seeing that it's really ready. Getting better, but for my primary phone, I need something that works, not a lab toy.
Nein
Apple invented faggotry.
AND IT RUNS ON A PINEPHONE
I have needs.
I miss my Palm Pre
I need to know if Android version of Signal works with waydroid.
That's my only mission critical app.
I run a Linux desktop so I figure I can make everything else work. But Signal requires a functioning phone app and then the Linux desktop app is sync'd to that.
The Signal Linux app requires Signal to be installed on a phone, either Android or Apple.
But if the Android version works in the emulator that would be fine.
I'll do some digging and see if anyone has gotten it to work.
That seems decent.
Anyone know if Signal will run on it?
Ok, it powered up.
It's a 3a XL.
It's end-of-life but still works.
I've had it for a couple of years and it doesn't get updates from Google.
Well it's been sitting powered off in a case for several months so it's currently dead.
Charging it up to see.
I know early Graphene was not terribly efficient but I seem to recall that battery life wasn't terrible.
And if you want to run a highly secure phone OS, Graphene is about the best and it only runs on Pixels.
Too late.
I have, I think, a Pixel 4.
I bought it used and put GrapheneOS on it.
Well shit.
I was kinda wanting a Pinephone.
And now I'm going to have to put up with a community of these fags?
Yeah, that's why I've been waiting.
On the other hand...
If the Googlefags are ditching Google I might be able to pick up a Pixel for cheap and put Graphene on it.
My wife is insufficiently retarded.

Men: Do not try to understand woman.
Women understand women and they hate each other.
I think this is what split up Ken and Roberta Williams.
At least I hope so.
