I find it basically impossible to eat 2000cal in one shot. I’ve been doing proper omad for about 3 mo (and something close to it for about 4mo before that) and I’m down about 25lbs. Eat whatever I like and cook at home. -

I even see em mowing as it’s getting dark out. If you have a pickup that can have a plow installed and you don’t mind shoveling and salting sidewalks you’ll be busy 9mo a year no problem. Step that shid up into proper landscaping/hardscaping and you can make serious $ -

All I have to work with are the extra expensive supposedIy cage free ones from Aldi. I have to just pray it’s not a bunch of wordsmith bs and that the chickens didn’t live in horrible conditions after all 😭 -

Where I live (in a town, bleh) we are allowed 6 backyard chickens but it requires a license (tax) per head per YEAR ($50 each) and the local “authority“ comes onto your property annually to inspect. They basically want to see cute store bought coops that look more like doll houses than chicken houses. Anything that is ugly but functional comes with a $250 fine and loss of license which means they also take your birds.
Pretty sure that would have me irl fedposting within the year. So now I’m planning to just move to the sticks. -

I’ve heard rabbits scream, idk if I could deal with that. Like raising out a steer and having the processing man come load him in a trailer? I’d pet the lad and tear up for a bit but I could handle it. I don’t think I’m savage enough to hand cull anything though 🫣 And that would probably lead me to having loads of birds as expensive pets once they stop laying lmao.
