    Appealing characters come in many forms. Take my example: Bugs Bunny is fun to look at. Charles Schulz emphasized this when discussing the appeal of Peanuts. At its base doing non-photorealistic designs is doing fun or funny pictures. Even a rascal like Bugs has to be likable or the whole thing falls apart.

    Same for a sad sack like Charlie Brown.

    People wonder why enemy media hasn't collapsed entirely as their actors have become uglier and their scripts have become more pozzed.

    There is a lot of ruin in a studio. To understand why consider The Simpsons. 35 years on The Simpsons is still running on fumes from the first six to ten seasons, depending on when you think it jumped the shark.

    The enemy media owns lots of straight White legacy properties, or at least ones that present as straight and White. X-Men may be a jew or fag metaphor but Wolverine is a straight White guy who happens to be a mutant.

    But like The Simpsons as time keeps slippin' into the future the ratio of garbage increases as nothing new of value is being generated. We seem to have hit a tipping point this year with only three or four big hits, two of which are legacy properties, one starring good ol' Wolverine who originated 24 years ago.

    As these old guys retire expect fewer hits.
