You know, I really miss Raptr: the service that allowed you to track, compare, and share game achievements and play stats cross-platform. I wish I had something like Letterboxd for games, something I could use to centrally catalog my vast cross-platform game collection, track my backlog, and organize my collection, and also use it to shit-talk achievement comparisons and completion stats with my son.
#retrogaming, #pcgaming and #digipres friends, a serious question - say I theoretically came into possession of a pre-release, press-pack beta version of a 20-ish-year-old PC game. How should I navigate the ethics of publicly sharing (or not) that copy of the game and/or the stuff in the press pack? There's a chance I could still get in touch with the lead developer but their original org and publisher are long gone. Ping @dosnostalgic and anyone who might have seen this space before.
I did a #topsters chart for the #AdventureGames I've played in the last 20 years at different times and with different levels of enjoyment. #TheLongestJourney was my favorite, hands down. #BrokenSword was my go-to for mystery/art. #Agon Lost Sword of Toledo was good for the story and southern European setting, I Have no Mouth was the most shocking, #Sanitarium was a mindfuck and the others, classic and new, I'd recommend anyway. #Gaming#Videogames#PCgaming#Playstation3
