@Twoinchdestroya @StoleMyThundersBalls I’m not though, I’ve never liked 40K, never wanted to go seek it out, yet youtube will cram it down my throat in an endless torrent of gay bullshit. I keep telling it I’m not interested, but it just keeps cramming it there regardless.
I suspect that a habit of leaving it to autoplay while I’m not around is the culprit. It must have rolled through one of the recommendeds once and now it thinks I just need the right 40K video

@Twoinchdestroya @StoleMyThundersBalls I hate it because there are times it DOES find me stuff I actually like: Obscure equipment, hyper niche autists doing something w 800 subscribers, new products, documentaries about things I’m intrigued by, and consumerist crap.
It’s truly odd to me that it presents so many gay time-wasting channels, I truly come to think that a lot of it is a kind of de-radicalization aimed at guys the system profiles as “alt-right”. Used to happen w/ peterson, mgtow stuff, now that it fell away it morphed into marvel movie apologie and debate, once I finally got rid of the last of that it moved on to 40K, relationship drama, reddit recaps, etc.
I think it sees me and thinks “ah….single guy, combat age, w/ guns and an awareness of how bad society screws with him…..let’s make sure he spends all his time on warhammer fandom mmmkay?”

I get that it’s background noise, too. Why not have something to listen at while you work that’s nice and benign?
But after a full decade of movies getting WORSE every damn time, how can you still have the attention span for them? How can you be surprised? How can you not be offended when you buy these games and realize you aren’t even deriving enjoyment from them?

@ShtPoastAnon @Twoinchdestroya @StoleMyThundersBalls If that, the ones I always see are 50% longer. Regularly see them around 9 hrs, even 12. They’ve done a few 24 hrs before.
It’s a little indicative of the youtube landscape that the guys involved make most of their money from that, and not their long-form content. The one brit does excellent deconstructions of modern movies, which are very interesting to watch if you have an interest in writing or storytelling.
The long podcast is them going through and doing a super long response to whatever media was taking issue with them, so they end up taking all day b/c they’re pausing each and every statement to address it to leave no stone unturned.
I just sit in amazement that you can let 5 years pass while even hate-watching this marvel dross. I simply don’t have the patience for it.

It’s sadly the only way to really make any kind of a living online these days, which is why so much content is like, a 2 out of 5 at best. The system just doens’t reward high-quality, time-consuming content that requires 100 hours of editing for a 10-minute clip.

Whenever people openly talk about their YT pay they tend to pad it out, it’s just too embarrassing. They’ll tell you about a high-water mark like it’s their routine, just like an onlyfans chick will tell you she makes $500/night…..when she’s barely bringing home $120

They’re still diverse and liberal-scented, they don’t stand out for anything but “hey pay me to not give the woke corporations more money!!!”
Even the kids’ books are bland. Meanwhile the dissidents are making kiddie books about the JQ. It’s just a bummer how they’ll sit there and complain about all the symptoms of cancer without ever realizing it’s all the tumors’ fault

The games and movies couldn’t have done it. Basically teaches us that even if the gamergate people had made their own Vivian James games, she would have been burning coal by the third sequel

It’s too high-profile an indicator, the pushback has turned the fem-marines into a key battlefield, and all they have to do is add a company of Primaris Women to shut up all the “fascists”
