     They never stopped pushing for exactly the same thing, they just change flavors. The same record company will gladly sell you boomer-rock or some Rage Against the Machine album. He's not pushing ancapistan, just an autocracy, same as Soros or Fink, but with a different flag.

     So basically.... Americans are replaceable.
     
     What's very evident is that the elites want to bring back feudalism, but with an anarcho-capitalist flavor. The world will have economic zones (feudal manors) and whether people eat will depend on whether they pay homage or duties. People will not be permitted to cross zones without the consent of the lord.

     What killed the society was autocrats (Dulles, Bernays, Roosevelt, Rockefeller, Carnegie, Rothschild) getting their hands on the levers built by predecessors (other Roosevelt, Wilson, et al). George Bush and Bill Clinton (or whoever you meant when you said "AD 1990") didn't jump out of the woodwork.

The western elites grew up with this mentality that they are global citizens, the private schools are probably more diverse because money matters more to them. The elites have fewer ties to the land, the people and the country. A lot of them move around and tax/money does more talking. They don't have ties to a place/land so they assume other people don't have this because they are stuck in their bubble with other people that don't. It is all about the economy, if they can move you around then you don't set down roots and you can be moved where they want you. Peasants came with the land and gained more rights, the lords had an obligation to them. The rent system destroyed this.

     Ancient Rome had apartment buildings. The early 20th century is what actually destroyed it.
